Here are a few texting ideas to get you rolling:
1. Market a Keyword to Grow Your List
To get the most out of text marketing, you need a strong list of opted-in customers. The best way to do this is with a Keyword campaign, especially if it rewards new subscribers. Consider placing your Keyword and short code on signs in your establishment or at the bottom of the check. It could that say something like, “Text CINCO to 313131 to get 10% off your next margarita!” In this example, CINCO is your Keyword and 313131 is your short code. Mass texting platforms like EZ Texting provide you with the short code and let you reserve customized Keywords when you sign up for a plan.
2. Send Limited-Time Promotions Via Text
If you want to drive traffic to your business on a specific day, like Cinco de Mayo, create a limited time-only promotion. For example, you could send a text that says, “This Saturday only! Get a free side of guacamole when you show this message at the counter!”
3. Use Text Messages to Keep Your Business Top-of-Mind
Even if your business doesn’t fit with the Cinco de Mayo theme, you can use the holiday to boost engagement with your contacts. For example, send a text message that says something like, “California Grill wishes you a Happy Cinco De Mayo! Check out our Happy Hour Specials this week, featuring beers Mexico and beyond: https//clk2.me/HRvz.”
