TrustRadius: EZ Texting Is a "2019 Most Loved Software"

Love is in the air! In honor of Valentine’s Day, TrustRadius scoured its database of over 168,000 reviews (of 4,185 products) to find the ones that users loved the most for its first-ever TrustRadius Love Report. They looked at every review they ever received, and EZ Texting emerged as a most-loved pick!

TrustRadius explained their process as, “comparing mentions of ‘love’ in all its (grammatical) forms to the total number of reviews we’ve received of each product.” That means that EZ Texting literally received lots of love from their customers to get ranked on this list!

Guide to Retail Text Marketing Promotions for Valentine’s Day

Text marketing is one the best ways to capture your audience’s attention at any time of the year, and Valentine’s Day is one of the biggest opportunities to make that connection count. Last year the National Retail Federation estimated that American consumers would spend $19.6 billion on the holiday of love. Here’s our guide to retail text marketing promotions to sweeten your holiday sales.

Spur Sales with a Special Offer

It’s retail marketing 101: customers love special offers that make them feel like they’re getting a great deal. Text marketing retail is no different. Our retail customers have found great success with discounts, percentages off, or BOGO offers

Text marketing makes it easy to make sure your special offer lands in the hands of an interested audience.

Make sure that your offer includes a call to action – that’s the best way to make sure that your customers does what you want them too! Effective calls to action include “click to get a coupon” “reserve your time now,” and “show this text at checkout to receive a 10% off discount.”

EZ Texting Tops 2019 Mobile Marketing Software List from G2 Crowd

What’s the best mobile marketing software in 2019? EZ Texting, according to G2 Crowd’s 2019 Winter Grid® Report. The top placement is based on EZ Texting’s chart-topping levels of customer satisfaction and actual “likely to recommend” reviews by real users on G2 Crowd, the world’s leading business solutions review website. We’re excited because the ranking reflects the great experiences of our customers, which is our number one priority!

We Love Our Customers

EZ Texting Chief Marketing Officer Matt Reid explains, “We’re thrilled to be listed at the top of the G2 Crowd Mobile Marketing Software Grid Report. For years we’ve focused on providing a superior customer experience to our more than 50,000 customers, so it’s especially rewarding to see our team efforts validated. In 2019 we have many more innovations in the pipeline that will make it even easier for small-to-medium businesses to communicate with their customers.”

Use Text Marketing to Go Strong into the Holidays

After smoke clears from Black Friday it’s tempting to take a deep breath and relax. But with the holiday shopping season in full swing, now is the team to go strong towards your goals. According to the National Retail Federation, younger consumers more than other demographics plan to spend more this year than last. If you’re interested in attracting a piece of that younger audience, texting is great place to start.

How Do You Grow Your Opted-In Text Marketing List?

The fastest and easiest way to grow your list of opted-in subscribers is with a Keyword campaign.

  • If you’ve seen ads saying, “Text JOLLY to 858585 for a special holiday treat,” then you’ve seen them in action.
  • JINGLE is the Keyword and 858585 is a short code.
  • Mass texting providers like EZ Texting provide you with a short code and allow you to reserve an available Keyword.

Text Promotions for Black Friday Success

According to the National Retail Federation, American consumers plan to spend 4.1% more this holiday season than last year. That means they will spend an average of $1,007, for gifts, decorations and other related items, bringing the total projected spending to north of $717 billion. With all that money in play, it pays to have your promotion game on point. At EZ Texting, we believe texting is the best way to send your holiday promotions. Last year our customers sent out over 3 million texts during this time!

Why Use Texting for Promotions?

Use texting to send promotions because it’s quick, easy and it really works! Texting is the fastest and most direct way to make sure your messages get seen by your audience. With an open rate of 98% and 90% of messages being read within 3 minutes, it exceeds nearly every other marketing channel for reach and immediacy. Signing up for a bulk texting service like EZ Texting takes only a few steps, there’s no commitment, and you can start sending thousands of texts in short order.

Luke Wilson Shares Inspirational Message at Texas Marina Conference

At this year’s Texas Marina Conference, EZ Texting’s CRO, Luke Wilson spoke to attendees as part of a professional development program for small to medium size businesses. In addition to promoting businesses, the Marina Association of Texas supports Folds of Honor, an organization that provides educational scholarships to the children and spouses of fallen and disabled U.S. service-members. This mission of pursuing success in business and giving back to your community meshed perfectly with Luke’s message of developing value-based goals.

Core Business Values

Luke began his talk by emphasizing the importance of having core values. Whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned professional, these values can be your guiding stars. For Luke, these values center on hard work, supporting customers, and building teams. Luke described moving from car sales to sales at tech companies, and found the common thread was finding ways to help customers succeed.

Nonprofit Opportunities for the End of Summer

Even though many kids are back in school, there are still a few weeks left for nonprofits to make the most of summer. Major nonprofits like The Human Society of the United States (HSUS) have found that texting can be a great tool for boosting donations any time of year. At a recent Nonprofit Technology Conference, Ellen Pascale explained, “At HSUS, fundraising texts last year averaged a click-through rate 20 times greater than the average nonprofit fundraising email and a response rate 10 times higher.”

So how can non-profits turn the dog days summer to big days for success?

Here are a few ideas:

Do a Labor Day Promotion

According to Statista, 58% of Americans will grill on Labor Day. Why not send a text message that ties in with this, or other, popular holiday activities. For example, “Bought a new grill? Donate your old one to EZ Give. You’ll get a tax deduction and help the community! Visit our main street location to make donations.”

Attend an Existing Event

Community fairs abound at this time of year. Think about reserving a booth and alerting potential volunteers and visitors via text. For example, “EZ Give will be at the Main Street festival this Sunday! Stop by booth 31G to enter our special drawing!”

Luke Wilson Wraps Up Visionary Series with Mission of Hope Haiti Interns

This week marked the final conversation that EZ Texting’s CRO, Luke Wilson, had with the Mission of Hope Haiti interns. Instead of a lecture, Luke spoke to the students in a more conversational setting, pulling together themes from all the previous sessions.

Bringing the Growth Mindset Their Next School Semester

While Luke’s original growth mindset talk focused on personal development and career, this time he encouraged the interns to apply these lessons to their upcoming college semester. Could they be more understanding and patient with their roommates? Be better leaders with their friends? Take school more seriously?

Keep the Passion Alive

Luke explained that it’s easy to come out of an internship program inspired and invigorated – but it takes effort to make the passion last on an ongoing basis. It’s important to know who you are, focus on your values, and keep pushing forward.

What’s Your Vision and Path

Everybody has different values, vision and focus. Luke asked these future leaders to share and discuss what they learned about who they are what their vision is for their future. He explained that they should chart a path a path based on fulfilling their larger true values.

Bringing It All Together

Luke asked the young leaders to share what they think about who they are, what they value, and how they will be remembered based on the work they’ve done. Many said that they want to be remembered for enabling others to succeed. They spoke about taking a non-judgmental approach to life, and of becoming people who lead by example not just by words. In working with these students, Luke demonstrated his commitment to making an impact and fulfilling goals that go beyond ourselves.

This is the last in the series of articles about Like Wilson at Mission of Hope Haiti. Stay tuned for more stories of EZ Texting leadership making an impact in the community.

CRO Luke Wilson Asks - Do You Have a Seek to Understand Mindset?

Luke Wilson returned to his mentorship series with local Mission of Hope Haiti interns to talk about the importance of a “seek to understand” mindset. This week he brought Kara Perez, a longtime banking professional, to help coach the future leaders. Luke encouraged students to “bridge the human gap” and pay attention to the people they interact with. That means noticing body language. It also means actively listening to others and focusing on what they say. He pointed out that you have to be interested and truly care about the perspective of others to communicate at a higher level.

Emotion and Ego

Luke explained that when you’re trying to understand another, you need to be aware of emotion and ego. He encouraged the students to avoid the negative aspects of both. Arrogant and fearful attitudes generally push people away, rather than encouraging understanding. He explained that success relies on positive relationships with friends, family and mentors. Those relationships require understanding of other people’s perspectives and tearing down walls of negativity.

Deep Dive into Active Listening

Start by focusing on what you think when you’re in a conversation. Stop composing your reply, and start listening deeply to what is being said instead. Hear and understand. Tune in with all of your attention and actively eliminate distractions. Next, focus on what you feel. Work on being empathetic. Look at where others are coming from and have compassion for them. Ask well thought-out questions, maintain eye contact, and be conscious of emotional undercurrents that could derail you.

What Do You Need?

When you’re actively listening, loosen your grip on your agenda and be considerate of the person you’re talking to. Try to understand the context of what the other person is saying and let them lead the way. Don’t interrupt or interpret, and avoid imposing your solution. Remember your goal is to understand not to control.
