Role Overview:

We are looking for an Outbound Business Development Representative to act as the liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams. Your role will be to reach out to Mid-Market contacts generated by our Marketing team and qualify them as potential opportunities for our Mid-Market Account Executive team. 

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with outbound calls, developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with prospects via traditional (phone and email) and new (texting) channels.  Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market through cold calls and emails

  • Present and pitch our company convincingly to potential clients

  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services

  • Customize recommendations to increase customer satisfaction

  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients

  • Set up qualified meetings between (prospective) clients and Account Executives

  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans


  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role

  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)

  • Track record of achieving quotas

  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce), SalesLoft is a plus

  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence

  • Extremely self-motivated with a diligent work ethic

  • Understanding of sales performance metrics

  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations

  • Marketing Agency experience is a plus

  • Constant desire to find ways to support both our potential customers, and EZ Texting
