Yes. Using EZ Texting’s free personalization tool, you can add custom tokens like a resident’s first name. This way, a bulk SMS for hundreds of apartments can read like a personal, customized text message. As you compose your new message, simply click on the option to add a first name and/or last name, and the system will automatically pull into the message text the name/s saved in your Contacts.

 

 

If you have an online payment portal or are using property management software to receive online payments, you can text a link to where the resident can make an online payment. By setting up monthly SMS reminders before rent is due and including a link to the rental payment portal, text messaging for property managers streamlines rent collections to help you track and receive rent payments more efficiently.

 

 

Just like email, text messaging is an opt-in activity. This means residents must consent to receive SMS from apartment or building managers. However, landlords can simply build this request for subscribing to text messages into their leasing process, whether in the application or the rental agreement. Additionally, opting in to receive SMS for property management alerts and notifications can be done via a Sign-Up Form on your business website or listing a Keyword and textable number on the resident portal.
