CallFire, Inc. d/b/a EZ Texting ("EZ Texting") is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. This Privacy Statement describes our information practices for our publicly accessible websites.
Not In Scope. This Privacy Statement does not apply to the personal information we process on behalf of our business clients, which is governed by the agreement(s) we have in place with them. For detailed privacy information regarding the use of your personal information by a business client, or to exercise your rights regarding such personal information, please reach out to that organization directly.
1. Websites Covered
In this Privacy Statement, “we,” “us,” “our,” or “EZ Texting” refers to EZ Texting and our affiliated companies.
This Privacy Statement covers EZ Texting’s information practices for our family of websites. In addition to EZTexting.com, EZ Texting operates other websites like CallFire.com, GroupTexting.com, and ClubTexting.com (“Sites”).
Your use of our Sites, and any dispute over privacy, is subject to this Privacy Statement and our Terms of Service, available at: https://www.eztexting.com/terms, including its applicable limitations on damages and the resolution of disputes.
2. Personal Information EZ Texting Collects
EZ Texting collects personal information directly from you, from third parties, and automatically through the Site.
To respond to inquiries or communications you send to us, we collect contact information, such as your name, address, e-mail address, phone number, and company name. We also collect the information you provide when you fill out a survey, questionnaire, or other type of form through the Site, as well as any information you choose to e-mail or communicate .
We may collect personal information about you from third party sources, such as: customers, service providers, social media platforms, chatbot providers, business partners, public and third-party databases, or other third parties. Personal information we collect may be combined with other information we have collected about you.
Some personal information is collected automatically using commonly used information-gathering tools, such as cookies, web beacons, and other technologies. The personal information we may collect includes standard information from your browser (such as browser type and browser language), your Internet Protocol ("IP") address, referring url, operating system, date/time stamps, clickstream data, general location information, and the actions you take on the Site (such as the pages viewed and the links clicked). To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may combine this information with other information we collect about you, including your personal information.
3. How EZ Texting Uses the Information It Collects
EZ Texting uses personal information to operate and improve our Sites and Services, to better understand how users access and use the Site and Services, for research and analytics purposes, heatmapping, to develop new features, for event registration and participation, for safety and security, to prevent fraud, and to market and promote the Services. We also use your personal information to provide the Site and Services, communicate with you, respond to inquiries and complaints, and for other customer service purposes. For example, if you fill out a "Contact Me" form on our Site or otherwise contact us, we will use the information provided to contact you about your interest in our Services or to send you information about us and our partners, promotions, and events.
We may also use your personal information to comply with legal obligations, for general business operations, and for other business administration purposes, or where we believe necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, and in situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person or violations of this Privacy Statement.
We may use and share aggregated or de-identified information with third parties for marketing, advertising, research, or other purposes in compliance with applicable law.
4. Disclosure of Personal Information
We may disclose your personal information with service providers or others who need access to the information to perform their work on our behalf such as to host our Sites.
- Service providers. We may share personal information with entities and individuals that provide services on our behalf or help us operate the Site or our business (such as information technology, hosting, customer relationship management and support, etc.).
- Corporate and third-party partners. We may work with other entities to co-sponsor events and activities. Please note that personal information collected during joint registrations may be collected under this Privacy Statement, the privacy policy of the other entity, and/or the privacy policy you see when you register. Links from our Site to a third-party site are also governed by the third party’s privacy policy which we urge you to read carefully.
- Corporate affiliates. We may share your personal information within our company, and with our affiliates.
- Advertising and analytics providers. We and analytics providers collect personal information to assist us in implementing and evaluating our Site and Services. Often the personal information that we share is collected from you through cookies and other tracking technologies on our Site.
- Professional advisors. We may share personal information with professional advisors, such as lawyers, auditors, bankers and insurers where necessary in the course of the professional services that they render to us.
- Authorities and others. We may share personal information with law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties, as we believe in good faith to be necessary or as legally required for compliance and protection purposes.
- Business transfers. We may share personal information with relevant participants in business transactions (or potential transactions) involving a corporate divestiture, merger, consolidation, acquisition, reorganization, sale or other disposition of all or any portion of the business or assets.
- Aggregate and de-identified information. We may disclose aggregate and de-identified information for marketing, advertising, research, or other purposes. We may use this data and share it with third parties for our lawful business purposes, including to analyze and improve the Site and promote our business.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and other third-party providers use cookies and other similar tracking mechanisms to track your use of our Site.
- Cookies. Cookies are text files that sites store on a visitor’s device to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings, for example, to help navigate between pages, remember preferences, enable functionality, help understand user activity and patterns, and facilitate analytics activities.
- Web beacons, pixel tags, and similar technologies. Web beacons are clear electronic images that can recognize certain types of information on your computer, such as when you have viewed a particular site tied to the web beacon. We and third parties may use web beacons (also known as clear GIFs, web bugs, pixel tags, or action tags, among other names), in connection with the Site to perform functions like tracking the activities of visitors to the Site or helping us manage content and compile statistics about usage of the Site. EZ Texting sometimes places Web beacons in marketing emails that notify us when links that direct you to one of our EZ Texting Sites are clicked.
- Heatmapping: We also use heatmapping technology to understand how users interact with our Site and to visually analyze user interactions.
- Analytics. We and third parties, such as Google Analytics, use cookies and other tracking technologies to evaluate how visitors interact with the Site. We use these tools to help us improve the Site, performance, and user experience. See below for Your Choices.
6. Your Choices
You have the following choices with respect to your personal information:
- Promotional communications. We may send periodic promotional e-mails to you. You may manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link located on the bottom of our marketing emails. Additionally, you may send a request specifying your communication preferences to answers@eztexting.com. If you opt-out of receiving promotional e-mails, we may still send you transactional e-mails about your account or Services you have requested.
- Cookies. Most browsers let you remove and/or stop accepting cookies from the sites you visit. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser’s settings. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all functionality of the Site, and our Site may not work properly. - Analytics. We and third-party analytics providers such as Google Analytics use cookies and tracking technologies. For more information and to opt out, see . You must opt out on each browser and on each device.
- Ad Networks. We and third party advertisers, analytics, and measurement companies use cookies and tracking technologies to serve advertisements on non-affiliated websites or other media (e.g., social networking platforms) and to analyze and measure their effectiveness. These cookies and other technologies are governed by each entity’s specific privacy policy, not this one. You may go to the Digital Advertising Alliance (“DAA”) Consumer Choice Page for information about opting out of interest-based advertising from participating companies. Please be advised that opting out of ad networks will opt you out from certain companies’ delivery of interest-based content or ads to you, but it does not mean you will no longer receive any advertising through our Site or on other websites. You may continue to receive advertisements, for example, based on the particular website that you are viewing (i.e., contextually based ads). - Do Not Track. Some internet browsers may be configured to send “Do Not Track” signals to the online services that you visit. We currently do not respond to “Do Not Track” or similar signals.
- Decline to provide information. We need to collect personal information to provide certain services. If you do not provide the information requested, we may not be able to provide those services.
7. Security
EZ Texting uses measures to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Please be aware that despite our efforts, no data security measures can guarantee security.
You should take steps to protect against unauthorized access to your password, phone, and computer by, among other things, signing off after using a shared computer, choosing a robust, unique password that nobody else knows or can easily guess, and keeping your log-in and password private. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or compromised passwords or for any activity on your account via unauthorized password activity.
8. Public Forums
EZ Texting may provide bulletin boards, blogs, or chat rooms on our Sites. Any personal information you choose to submit in such a forum may be read, collected, or used by others who visit these forums, and they may use that information to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personal information you choose to submit in these forums.
9. Customer Testimonials
EZ Texting posts a list of customers and testimonials on our Sites that contain information such as customer names and titles. EZ Texting obtains the consent of our customers prior to posting this information and customer testimonials.
10. Notice Concerning Children
Our Sites are not designed for children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our systems.
11. Links to Third Party Websites
EZ Texting Sites may contain links to other sites. We are not responsible for the information practices or the content of such other sites. We encourage you to review the privacy statements of other sites to understand their information practices.
12. Changes to this Privacy Statement
This Privacy Statement is current as of the effective date set forth above. We may change this Privacy Statement from time to time, so please be sure to check back periodically. We will post any changes to this Privacy Statement on our Sites.
13. Our Role as a Service Provider Under the CCPA
When we operate as a service provider under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the regulations issued thereto, each as amended (“CCPA”), we process or maintain personal information on behalf of our business customers that provide personal information to us in compliance with written contracts that we enter into with our business customers directly. In accordance with the CCPA, we will only use and disclose personal information we receive from our business customers as necessary to provide the Services to our business customers, to retain or employ another service provider where that service provider meets the requirements of a service provider under the CCPA, for our internal use to build and improve the quality of our Services as permitted under the CCPA, to detect security incidents or protect against fraudulent or illegal activity, and for the purposes enumerated under the CCPA or as otherwise required by the CCPA.
14. Our Role as a Business Under the CCPA
This subsection provides California residents with additional information regarding our collection, use and disclosure of the personal information we collect and control via our Sites as a “business” under California privacy laws. This subsection is intended to satisfy our notice and privacy policy requirements under the CCPA.
The information provided in this subsection is intended to provide an overall description of how we process California consumer’s personal information, and it does not address or apply to information or practices that are not subject to the CCPA or to the personal information we collect from our contractors, job applicants, or our employees, which are subject to different notices.

Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
The CCPA defines “sale” as disclosing or making available personal information to a third-party in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration, and “sharing” includes disclosing or making available personal information to a third-party for purposes of cross-contextual behavioral advertising. While we do not disclose personal information to third parties in exchange for monetary compensation, we may “sell” or “share” the following categories of personal information: identifiers; commercial information; location data; and internet and network activity information. We may disclose these categories to third-party advertising networks, analytics providers, and social networks for purposes of marketing and advertising and to improve and measure our ad campaigns.
We do not sell or share sensitive personal information, nor do we sell or share personal information about individuals we know are under age sixteen (16).
Sources of Personal Information
As further described in the “Personal Information EZ Texting Collects,” section above, we collect personal information from the following sources: customers, service providers, social media platforms, chatbot providers, business partners, public and third-party databases, or from other third parties.
Retention
We retain the personal information we collect only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above or as otherwise disclosed to you at the time of collection. For example, we will retain information as necessary to comply with our tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations, to provide you with the Services you have requested, as well as an additional period of time as necessary to protect, defend, or establish our rights, defend against potential claims, and comply with our legal obligations. In some cases, rather than delete your personal information, we may deidentify or aggregate it and use it in compliance with the CCPA.
Purposes for Processing Personal Information
As more fully described in the “How EZ Texting Uses the Information It Collects” section above, we collect, use, and otherwise process the above categories of personal information to operate and improve our Site and Services, for research and analytics purposes, to develop new features, for event registration and participation, for safety and security, to prevent fraud, to market and promote the Site and Services, to communicate with you, to respond to inquiries and complaints, for other customer service purposes, to comply with legal obligations, for general business operations, and for other business administration purposes including to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, and situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person or violations of this Privacy Statement.
Sensitive Personal Information
We do not use or disclose of sensitive personal information beyond the purposes authorized by the CCPA. Accordingly, we use and disclose sensitive personal information as reasonably necessary (i) to perform our services requested by you, (ii) to help ensure security and integrity, including to prevent, detect, and investigate security incidents, (iii) to detect, prevent and respond to malicious, fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal conduct, (iv) to verify or maintain the quality and safety of our services, (v) for compliance with our legal obligations, (vi) to our service providers who perform services on our behalf, and (vii) for purposes other than inferring characteristics about you.
California Resident Rights
The CCPA provides you with certain rights regarding your personal information. This section describes those rights and how to exercise them. Please note that these rights are subject to certain conditions and exceptions.
Right to Know/Request Access. The right to know:
- The categories of personal information we have collected about you;
- The categories of sources from which we have collected your personal information;
- The business or commercial purposes for collecting, selling, or sharing your personal information;
- The categories of third parties to whom we have disclosed your personal information; and
- The specific pieces of your personal information we have collected.
Right to Delete. Subject to certain conditions and exceptions, you have the right to request we delete your personal information.
Right to Correct. Subject to certain conditions and exceptions, you have the right to request that we correct inaccuracies in your personal information.
Right to Opt-Out of Sales and Sharing. You have the right to opt-out of “sales” and “sharing” of your personal information, as those terms are defined under the CCPA. While we do not “sell” personal information in the traditional sense (i.e., for money), our use of third-party analytics and advertising cookies may be considered “selling” and “sharing” under CCPA.
To opt out of sale/sharing, you may adjust your cookie settings here. If you visit our Sites that are able to detect when your browser is transmitting an opt-out preference signal, such as a “global privacy control” (GPC) signal, we will opt that particular browser on your device out of targeting cookies for purposes of that Site. If you come to that Site from a different device or from a different browser on the same device, you will need to apply GPC for that browser and/or device as well. To enable GPC, you can visit the Global Privacy Control page at https://globalprivacycontrol.org.
Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of the rights described in this section.
Exercising Your Rights

Verification. When you submit a request, we will take steps to verify your identity and request by matching the information provided by you with the information we have in our records. In some cases, we may request additional information in order to verify your identity, or where necessary to process your request. If we are unable to verify your identity after a good faith attempt, we may deny the request and, if so, will explain the basis for denial.
You may also designate someone as an authorized agent to submit requests and act on your behalf. Authorized agents will be required to provide proof of their authorization and we may also require the relevant consumer to verify the identity and the authority of the authorized agent.
